Description Circa 1785. Very rare textile "Apotheosis of Franklin" depicting Franklin under the motto "Where Liberty Dwells, There is My Country" and Washington driving a leopard-drawn chariot with the motto "America Independence 1776". Minor staining and browning. Exhibits rows of small sewing holes from a previous use. Not examined out of frame. Size 37 - 3/4" H x 29 - 3/8" W.
