CHEKHONIN, Sergei Vasilevich (1878-1936). Flowers. 2 hand-colored lithographs. (each 565 x 430 mm). Each signed by in pencil lower right. Although remembered primarily for his Ballets Ruses designs, Sergei Chekhonin was one of the most accomplished Russian graphic artists of his generation. He was a prolific illustrator of magazines and books during both the Silver Age and the early Soviet period.
