Ornately decorated William Dell Hungarian Faience art pottery vase from 1887. Dell worked at the Cincinnati Art Pottery Co. as its manager until 1891 when the Pottery closed and then operated the William Dell Pottery until his death in 1892. This piece is clearly marked 1887 Wm. Dell & Co. Cincinnati, O. No. 6. This vase seems to be in conflict with the record for the two Potteries but is nonetheless a fine example of early American Art Pottery. Three chips to the ruffled rim and some underglaze discoloration to the clay body. 7 3/4" tall by 6 1/4" wide.
