Description: Steel-engraved map, hand-colored in outline. 53x63.5 cm. (20¾x24¾").Scarce German map of the U.S. and Canada showing remarkable topographic detail in the west, but with some fairly serious errors. The Teton's and Jackson Lake are pushed well into Idaho and Nevada is substantially wider than its final configuration. Nevertheless, the map is remarkable in what it does show, including roads, railroads, mountains, rivers, lakes, Indian Tribes, forts, and may other details.
