(15½x19").Nice full-color example of Ortelius' striking regional map of Spain, showing the Island and Bay of Cadiz, the departing point for Columbus and many other important voyages to the New World during the great age of Spanish exploration. Very decorative, with vignettes featuring sailing ships, a man with a bow riding a chalice, etc. The two smaller maps show the Tagus River from Toledo, and the region bounded by San Sebastian and Deva.
