F.D.R. Supports... "engineering experiment stations" FRANKLIN DELANO ROOSEVELT, 32nd President of the United States. March 7, 1940, Typed Letter Signed "Franklin D. Roosevelt," 1 page, 8" x 10.5", Very Fine. Written from Washington on White House letterhead, Roosevelt writes to Florida Congressman, Robert Alexis "Lex" Green, in full: "I was interested in your letter of February 24 accompanying Bill H.R. 8260 to 'promote industrial prosperity' through the establishment of engineering experiment stations. I have referred your letter and the bill to the Bureau of the Budget and to the National Resources Planning board." Also signed by Green with sentiment to the left of F.D.R.'s signature. Light horizontal folds and date stamp at upper right, else quite clean and perfect for display. Robert A.
