4th Connecticut Regiment of the Continental Army 1780 c. September 25, 1780, Manuscript Document Signed, Choice Very Fine. This is an original Revolutionary War era document dated 1780 at that certifies that Appollos Austen served as a soldier in the 4th Connecticut Regiment of the Continental Army. Dated 1780 and signed by Elihu Kent and Asa King as selectmen. The name "Appollos" suggests that this may have been a Black Soldier serving in the American Revolutionary War army.
