Murder of Capt. Davis by The Seminole Indians

May 19, 1820, RICHMOND ENQUIRER, Published by Ritchie & Gooch, Virginia, Very Fine.
Vol. XVII, No. 1(?), 20.75" x 14.5", 4 pages, 6-column layout. Moderate dampstaining, and minor toning, small split along center fold. Edges have been clipped. With wonderful news accounts, on page 1, a message from John Quincy Adams, in regard to a treaty with Spain. Page 3 has news of the murder of Capt. Davis of Nashville, Tennessee, by three Seminole Indians. Page 2, with Congressional discussion of "Piracies and Kidnapping." Overall, a good cross-section of news, advertisements, and editorializing of the day.
