June 22, 1865, General Order No. 59, Choice Mint.
7.75" x 5.25". A 7-page general order which "Under authority of the acts of Congress approved December 21,1861, and July 16, 1862, Medals of Honor are hereby awarded to the following named petty officers, seamen, & c., in the U.S. Naval Service, Who have distinguished themselves by their gallantry in action, by extraordinary heroism in the line of their profession, or by other commendable qualities, vis". Small tear in the left margin of the back page.
