South Carolina Currency
Rare Denomination October 19, 1776 Two Dollars Note

South Carolina. October 19, 1776. Two Dollars. "Tree" Vignette. Choice Very Fine.
This nice quality South Carolina note is from a scarce issue. This $2 denomination had only 2,500 notes authorized to be printed in 1776. This note has four full margins with the left side being huge in size. There is deft edge repair to the centerfold. The black printed text is very readable and the "Tree" vignette is sharp, while the signatures and the serial number are faded. A very rare, impressive looking, Two Dollar denomination in this nice quality.
