Colden Publisher: Kirk & Mercein Printing Year: 1817 Condition/Details: Bound in three quarter leather with marbled boards and gilt lettering to spine, this antique volume is a scarce biography of the U. S. engineer and inventor, widely credited with developing the first commercially successful steamboat. The work is illustrated with a tissue-guarded frontispiece portrait. The volume shows light external age/wear, and is solidly bound with pages that show some foxing. Antique signature of previous owner is present on one of the preliminary pages.
