Printing Year: 1980 Signed first edition Condition/Details: Bound in beige cloth with bright black lettering to spine, this volume is a scarce historical reconstruction of the life of William Bonney "from 1869 when his family came to the New Mexico area" to "his final capture at El Ojo del Taiba on December 24, 1880, and his subsequent death at the hands of sheriff Pat Garrett in 1881, before Billy's twenty-first birthday". This book also includes a long epic poem written by Charles Frederick Rudulph in Spanish entitled "La Campanya Sobre los Bilitos", now translated by the author. The author has signed this book on front endpaper under a caption that reads: ""Centennial Copy" / 1881/1981". The work is illustrated with photographs, drawings and hand-drawn area maps. The volume shows light external age/wear, and is solidly bound with clean pages. Dustjacket is in glassine cover. The book measures approximately 5.75" x 8.25" and contains 255 pages.
