Condition/Details: Bound in red cloth with gilt lettering; this antique volume is a scarce history of Ithaca, NY. The complete title describes the contents: Initial Ithacans Comprising Sketches and Portraits of the Forty-Four Presidents of the Village of Ithaca (1821 to 1888) and the First Eight Mayors of the City of Ithaca (1888-1903). The front endpaper is inscribed by the author: "Presented to / Josephy J. Burns, / With the sincere esteem of / his uncle, / the author, / Thos. W. Burns / July, 1906". The volume shows light external age/wear, and is solidly bound with clean pages. The book measures approximately 10.5" x 7" and contains 205 pages.
