Among the cities visited and described by Bertram are Port Said, Bombay, Calcutta, Lucknow, Canton, Yokohama, San Francisco, Montreal, Chicago, New York. The work is illustrated with many photographs. The volume shows light external age/wear, with spine lettering now faded, and is solidly bound with clean pages.
