This original World War One poster is part of a large collection we are selling during this auction. The posters in this group have been carefully stored for the past century and form an impressive, unique collection. A very colorful picture is presented over a square with double blue borders containing the main body of the poster text. The image shows a rainbow beginning and ending in a pot of gold sittin on a block bearing messages relating to the promotion of War Savings Stamps. Symbolic and everyday figures are to be found under the rainbow that itself contains the words "War-Savings Stamps". The dome of the U.S. congress is seen in the distance.
