Originally published in 1849, this work was intended to evolve a history of jurisprudence from the portraits of England's greatest lawyers. The work is illustrated with frontispiece portraits. The volumes show mild external age/wear, and are solidly bound with clean, lightly age toned pages. The books measure approximately 5.5" x 7.5".
