An initial text entitled "Historical Sketch of Original Land Titles in Lawrence County, Pensylvania" by George W. Muse is found on pages III - VI. Areas covered by the maps include the following townships: Wayne, Perry, Little Beaver, Big Beaver, North Beaver, Taylor, Shenango, Slippery Rock, Scott, Plain Grove, Wilmington, Wahington, Pulaski, Hickory, Mahoning, Union, Neshannock, City of New Castle. There are also smaller maps, presented on the final leaf, of the following boroughs: Enon Valley, South New Castle, New Wilmington, Hazel Dell, Wampum, Volant, and Ellwood City. Pebbled boards with gilt lettering on front board are detached; textblock with full series of maps is intact. The colors are vivid and the maps show beautifully.
