Condition/Details: This is a signed limited edition reprint of an antique county atlas, illustrated with maps and engraved illustrations. This is copy number 258 of 300. This edition contains a signed introduction by Martin Wehle. Areas covered by the maps include the following towns in Genesse County: Alabama, Alexander, Batavia, Bergen, Bethany, Byron, Darien, Elba, Le Roy, Oakfield, Pavilion, Pembroke, Stafford. The following villages are also represented: Alabama Center, Alexander, Batavia, Bergen, Bethany Center, Byron Center, Cary, Corfu, Darien, Darien Center, East Bethany, East Pembroke, Linden. Le Roy, Mechanicsville, Morganville, North Byron, North Pembroke, Pembroke, Pavilion, Pine Hill, Smithville, South Byron, Stafford, Wheatville. Towns in Wyoming County: Attica, Bennington, Castile, China, Covington, Eagle, Gainesville, Genesee Falls, Java, Middlebury, Orangeville, Perry, Pike, Sheldon, Warsaw, Wethersfield. The atlas shows some external age/wear and is securely bound with bright pages and maps show beautifully. The atlas measures approximately 13.5" x 16" and contains 95 pages. This lot is part of a large collection of books and ephemera that we will be selling over the coming months, from the estate of Lewis E. Shuman, long-time collector from Rochester, New York.
