This original World War One poster is part of a large collection we are selling during this auction. The posters in this group have been carefully stored for the past century and form an impressive, unique collection. A young Parisian mother cradles her baby in one arm, while she streches out the other, holding a tin can, hoping to receive alms. Her dress becomes a flowing robe,in which young children take refuge. The City Hall of Paris is visible in the background, while at the bottom there is an image of a war-ravaged countryside.
