Condition/Details: Bound in intricate leather bound raised gilt embossed boards with the original engraved clasps, this antique volume is a fancy bible in the English language. The book features beautiful color lithographed illustrations and frontispiece, and includes a place for recording genealogical data; the name "John Hofmeister" is inscribed there. The volume shows significant external wear, with detached, worn front board and clear pages. The front endpapers and a number of pages prior to the Old Testament are disbound. The book measures approximately 12.25" x 10" and contains 1338 pages, exclusive of indeces, explanatory texts and concordances at back. Shipping cost (within the U.S.) for this lot will be: $16.50
