DESCRIPTION: Official portrait photograph of Neil Armstrong in open space suit signed and inscribed in black ink 'TO THE HERMAN GANG/Neil Armstrong/Gemini VIII." This mission in 1966 was the sixth manned Gemini flights and predated the 1969 moon mission. Accompanying the photograph are twelve NASA snapshot photographs of the July 1969 mission to the moon. PROVENANCE: Arthur Herman, the direct recipient of this piece, is the uncle of the consignor. MEASUREMENTS: 8" x 10". Snapshots 3-1/2" square. CONDITION: Light fading to signature.
