5 vol., one of 500 copies, initials in red by Edward Johnston, very occasional light foxing, a fine copy bound in russet morocco, by Sangorski & Sutcliffe, spines titled in gilt with seven raised bands, g.e., together in fleece-lined cloth slip-case with dividers, [Herbert 2139], folio, Doves Press, 1903-05.

***The only folio printed by Cobden-Sanderson and the magnum opus of the Doves Press. In his book Four Centuries of Fine Printing Stanley Morison states that the Doves Press Bible "represents the finest achievement of modern English printing.".
