The Holy Bible containing the Old Testament and The New, newly translated out of the original tongues and with the former translations diligently compared and revised, engraved portrait of Charles II, title within architectural border, pictorial ownership leaf, and dedication, 38 plates, each with two illustrations of subjects from Genesis, and 107 plates to the new testament, the title-page worn and backed, one plate stitched together, another lacking lower third, John Bill and Christopher Barker, 1668, bound with The Whole Book of Psalms, engraved frontispiece, J.M. for the Company of Stationers, 1669, the ownership plate with the name of Mary Hofod, 1697, details of her birth on flyleaf, and other annotations at end including another ownership inscription, the name deleted, dated 1673, contemporary black panelled morocco gilt, g.e., 12mo, 1668-69.***A loosely inserted note compares the tooling of the covers with that on a Book of Common Prayer, 1669, bound by Samuel Mearne..
