The first contains the lives of various giants, dwarves, eccentrics and other notable characters including Daniel Lambert; Mr. Wombwell, and his menagerie; Mr. Simpson of Vauxhall Gardens; Philip Stone, the property man at Drury Lane; William Buckley, the Modern Robinson Crusoe; and Alexander Selkirk.
