[Dodgson (Charles Lutwidge)], "Lewis Carroll" The Hunting of the Snark, first edition, A.L.s. by the author to Mr Langbridge tipped-in on fly-leaf, dated "Nov. 10/96", frontispiece, illustrations, by Henry Holiday, advertisement at rear, frontispiece and title browned, endpapers a little foxed, bookplate on front pastedown, original pictorial cloth, gilt, g.e., rebacked preserving original spine, 8vo, [Crutch 115], 1876.***In the letter Dodgson thanks Mr Langbridge's publishers for sending him a presentation copy of Mr Langbridge's book (possibly an advance copy of The Dreams of Dania 1897) signed "from the author" but states that he would be "10 times as grateful" if Mr Langbridge could inscribe the book with his name as "from the author" is "almost valueless"..
