Half-title. 58 hand-coloured lithographic plates, printed by Day & Haghe. Recent dark green half morocco gilt, the spine in five compartments with wide raised bands, the bands highlighted using a gilt roll tool and flanked by blind fillets, lettered in the second and fourth compartments, g.e. Condition: very small section of lower outer corner of plate 1 torn away, light overall tone to plates, light spotting to plates 5, 6, 30, 34 and 58. Provenance: Lynn Abbott Trust. first edition of the second of loudon's highly-successful series. An internally-fine copy of a work that often has condition problems.
