London: Lovell Reeve, 1861-1871. 10 volumes, 8vo (252 x 175 mm). 560 hand-colored lithographed plates (17 double-page) by Walter Hood Fitch, James Andrews, and W.G. Smith. Contemporary purple half calf over marbled paper-covered boards, tooled in gilt, spines with red calf lettering-pieces, marbled endpapers, marbled edges. Condition: sections of blank margins excised from seven volumes, occasional foxing to text; some rubbing to ends and joints. Provenance: Lynn Abbott Trust. a complete set. Volume I was edited by Moore, and by H. Honywood Dobrain thereafter. According to the preface, this work contains the "choicest new flowers for the garden, stove or conservatory".
