A Stamford Bridge athletics trophy dated 1898, in the form of a silver goblet hallmarked Sheffield, 1896, inscribed LONDON ATHLETIC CLUB and engraved with their crest, further inscribed C.G. WARD, LONG JUMP, 20 FEET 2 INCHES, MAY 21ST 1898, turned ebonised plinth, height 14cm., 5 1/2in., weight 122gr. 4oz.
