An autograph album containing a set of Busby Babes signatures, a German printed album with a double-page of 15 pen signatures (13 on the right-hand page) comprising Whelan, Edwards, Berry, Wood, Taylor, Peter Jones, Blanchflower, Byrne, Pegg, Busby (manager), Foulkes, Viollet, Coleman, Mark Jones and Dawson, the album containing a few other autographs including Arsenal & England's Laurie Scott The Busby Babes were collected by the late husband of the present vendor who was in the Army and stationed in Germany in the 1950s. The autographs relate to the 1957-58 pre-season tour of Germany by Manchester United when they played Berliner XI on 14th August and Niedersachsen XI in Hannover on 17th August. The British serviceman met the team by chance at the airport when United were about to fly back to England.
