Massachusetts Tax Collector Appointed for 1792

1791, Autograph Document Certifying a Tax Collector Appointment in Massachusetts for 1792, Choice Very Fine.
December 1791, Autograph Document Signed, "Lem(uell) Sanford, Town Cl(er)k," on blue paper, 3.25" x 7". This document reads: "At an annual Legal Town meeting in Redding [MA] in December 1791, Aaron Morehouse was chosen Collector of the State Taxes for the Year ensuing -- Certified - Lem. Sanford, Town Clk." There is docketing information written on the back of this document. This document recalls the town meeting system of government which is still used in New England.
