Rare Woodblock Printing Plate for Chinese Almanac

Woodblock Printing Plate, for the Chinese Almanac, "Wang Hsing Lou T'ung Shu," Engraved on Both Sides with a page of Chinese Text, Rare, Choice Extremely Fine.
This rare, original, hand-engraved, 7.5" x 8.75" wooden printing block, contains the text from an old Chinese almanac on both sides. The engraving is very well done, and the block is in excellent condition, the wood now darkend with age. The page is undated and we have been unable to find any information on this book, but this plate is certainly not recent. This block consists of 2 pieces of wood, a large lower section and a smaller upper section, held in place by an internal dowel. A unique opportunity to obtain an old Chinese printing block.
