Prominent American Portraits Including Jonathan Edwards

c. 1800s, Lot of 5 Portrait Prints of Famous American of the 1700s and 1800s, Including Thomas Jefferson, Samuel Adams and Jonathan Edwards, Steel Engravings, Very Fine to Extremely Fine.
With the exception of the Samuel Adams print, these engravings are printed on heavy paper with blank backs, ranging in size from 8.5" x 5.5" to 11" x 8" format. 1. THOMAS JEFFERSON, inscribed, "From an Engraving on Copper by St. Memin made for Mr. Jefferson during his residence in Paris..." A high quality 1800's printing with huge borders, parts of which are lightly foxed, otherwise in excellent condition. 2. JONATHAN EDWARDS, unsigned engraving with huge borders, in excellent condition. 3. THOMAS JONES, engraved by Charles Burt, after the painting by de Lancey, in excellent condition. 4. WILLIAM H. PRESCOTT, unsigned engraving from the painting by Chappel, printed by Johnson, Fry & Company and dated 1861, in excellent condition, aside from some very light age toning. 5. SAMUEL ADAMS, engraved by G.F. Storm after a painting by Copley, trimmed and mounted to a large card (print size 5.5" x 3.5") measuring 14" x 11," with light age toning. An interesting assortment of prints, perfect for display. (5 prints)
