Complete Sheet of 48 Italian Playing Cards by E. Pignalosa

c. 1920's-1950's, Uncut Sheet of Italian Playing Cards, by Edoardo Pignalosa in Naples, Complete Deck of 48 Cards, Mint.
This is a complete, uncut sheet of 48 Italian playing cards, measuring 17" x 25" and printed by "Edoardo Pignalosa, Napoli" (Naples). This deck has 12 cards, numbered 2 through 10 (but lacking an 8), plus a Jack, Knight, King and Ace, in suits of Coins, Cups, Swords and Batons. The back design consists of ornate scrollwork. The multicolored faces of these cards are done in an old style, but this sheet was actually printed in the first half of the 1900's. Edoardo Pignalosa was in business in the 1930's and was still operating as late as 1959. This particular sheet is in Mint Condition, with some trivial age toning in places along the margins. A beautiful and colorful sheet which should be framed for display.
