1884, World's Industrial and Cotton Centennial Exposition Souvenir Silk Ribbon, Choice Very Fine.
"SOUVENIR, OF, THE WORLD'S, INDUSTRIAL AND COTTON, CENTENNIAL, EXPOSITION, NEW-ORLEANS, 1884-1885 ", by Phoenix Manufacturing Co., Paterson, NJ. 8.5" x 2.2" multicolored ribbon features a central image of a heraldic eagle perched on a gray and black shield "UNION CONFIDENCE, JUSTICE", two American flags, and stars and sun rays in the background. At bottom is a colorful spread of a cotton plant, and a banner inscribed "NEW-ORLEANS". Complete with red tassel at bottom. Ribbon is lightly toned at top and bottom, and bottom right edge has a tiny absence, not affecting images or lettering.
