c. 1930s, Colorful Hooked-Wool on Burlap Stair Tread with Paul Revere's Midnight Ride, Choice Extremely Fine.
Beautiful hooked-rug stair tread, measuring approximately 7" x 27" long, depicting Paul Revere in light blue outfit, riding on a white horse, and alerting colonists. The scene includes wooded areas, houses, hills in the distance, and dark blue and green end borders. This lively scene was created with multicolored wool on burlap, produced during the second quarter of the 20th Century.
