Wabash, IN, The Upper Wabash Bank, $1, India Paper Proof, Very Choice.
Haxby 670 G2. Wolka-Vorhies-Schramm 848-1. PRF-R7. A thoughtful layout and style by the Danforth, Wright & Co. imprint. Gothic title across the center with geometric counter above. Lower left. Indian princess with Ceres. Lower right, male portrait. This proof should be Ex Julian Blanchard and may have passed through the Skeen Collection. There are tow subtle hinge mounts on the back side edges. We have had fewer and fewer superb looking, rare proofs in our sales compared to even three years ago. The demand for rare obsolete currency notes and proofs has started to rival National Banknote collecting. This is an Indiana beauty.
