1992 Chrysler Challenge Balloon Cover
A limited edition cover (No. 239/900) carried by the Team #1 onboard the Belgian balloon. The cover is signed by pilot #1, Wim Verstraeten, pilot #2, Bertrand Piccard and reserve pilot Yves d'Oultremont with launch and landing times notated beneath the printed cachet. This was B. Piccard's first major balloon race and they WON the event. Piccard went on to win the first non-stop race around the world in 1999. A scarce cover.
