USS Lake Champlain Prime Recovery Ship Cover
The rarest of all recovery ship covers, this one is in unusually pristine condition with 1) a bold hand stamped cachet, 2) an unusually bold hand cancel, 3) it is unaddressed and 4) it has a 1979 American Philatelic Expertising Service certificate of authenticity (as submitted by Seymour Rodman). It is uncached as usual and the plain cover is unusually clean and fresh. Truly an outstanding addition to any collection. We have heard it said that less than 20 of these covers are believed to exist. This is undoubtedly one of the finest.
