Flown "Washer"
recovered from the Liberty Bell 7 capsule after its recovery in 1999 from over 16,000 feet of water in the Atlantic Ocean. The Kansas Cosmosphere, sponsors of the recovery and restoration of the capsule, encased some parts that could not be reinstalled due to corrosion, in Lucite blocks (6x7x2") and sold them as fund-raisers to help offset costs of the restoration and exhibition of the Capsule. Beautifully presented and in like-new condition.
