With right-facing Kokoshnik, 1908-1917, Moscow, 88 standard and with maker's mark of Pavel Ovchinnikov, oviform, decorated with bees amidst green and pink cloisonne enamel leaves and flowers, set with eight cabochon garnets, gross weight, 3'' H x 2'' Dia., 4 oz, est:$2500/3000. Note: A related egg-form box by Ovchinnikov, also set with cabochon garnets, sold New Orleans Auction, February 17, 2008, lot 799 ($5,000)

Condition report

Good condition overall. Decoration very well executed. Enamel colors vibrant. Elements very nicely rendered and detailed. General light marks and scratches to surface. With light wear, rubbing, spotting and tarnishing commensurate with age and use. Enamel with very minor scattered losses. This and all lots are sold AS IS.
