The central medallion with a cameo portrait of Peter the Great surrounded by five medallions with the portraits of Catherine the Great, Paul I, Alexander I, Nicholas I and Alexander II, interspersed with oak branches, the verso with the Cathedral consecrated in the name of St. Isaac the Dalmatian May 30, 1858, 3.125'' Dia., est:$500/700. Note: Alexander I commissioned the French architect Auguste Montferrand to build St. Isaac's to replace an earlier structure designed by Antonio Rinaldi. It took 40 years to build and was the foremost ecclesiastical building of Imperial Russia

Condition report

Good, clean impressions to both sides. With general light marks, scratches and rubbing to edges commensurate with age. A couple of minor casting flaws to edges of each side. One side also with two minor dings. AS-IS. ALL SALES FINAL.
