A good early war-date partly-printed Confederate requisition invoice, oblong 1p. 4to., New Orleans, [La.], July 11, 1861 in which Capt. McKeever, 10th Miss. Infantry, Capt. Hughes, 12th Miss. Infantry and Capt. Moore 16th Miss. Infantry purchased from Marqueze & Company, 68 Canal St., New Orleans, 250 pair pegged brogans for their fresh volunteers with respective shipment to be sent to Pensacola, Union City, Tenn., Corinth, Miss. and Port Gibson, Miss. Nearly two years later, during the battle of Gettysburg, both the 12th and 16th Miss. helped attack Meade's Union army while part of Posey's brigade under the command of Gen. A. P. Hill. Fine.
