Squire, Volume 1, published by Frank Leslie, New York, 1862," 32 semi-monthly issues, mammoth size, 490 pp., loose This work published in semi-monthly numbers in mammoth size which allows large pullout engravings and contains a complete epitome of the war with all the facts, scenes, incidents, and anecdotes connected with it. These pullouts are 50" x 22," with great engraved images such as Battle of New Bern, Capture of Ft. Donaldson, Bombardment of Fort Jackson. Additionally, the volume is replete with normal-sized images.
