A rare war-date circular, 1p. 5 3/4" x 4 3/4", Cambridge, [Ma.], Sept. 3, 1864 announcing in large bold type, on peach colored paper, reading, in part: "ATLANTA!, OUR GALLANT ARMY have taken possession of this stronghold…All patriotic and Union-loving citizens of Cambridge, are invited to meet at the City Hall…to congratulate each other…let…our brave soldiers be encouraged, that they may achieve still greater…victories…". Two small mount attachments on verso, else very good.
