Rare manuscript signed by thirty-one (31) men the "Commissioned and Non commissioned officers and privates of Co. G 25th Regiment of Ind. V. V. Infantry" 2p. folio, June 14, 1865, Camp of 25th Regiment of Ind. V.V. Inft, Near Louisville, Kentucky, who "agree to pay the sum set next to our Names for the purpose of purchasing for Our Late comrade in arms Cornelius Hunter, a cork leg..." with interior manuscript providing more information which reads in part: "...Cornelius Hunter who had served three years in the company from July 15th 1861 and was while on the skirmish line before Atlanta, Ga on the 10th day of August '64, nearly one month after the expiration of his term of service had expired seriously wounded by a musket ball piercing his knee causing amputation next day..."
