Lincoln Assassination Letter. Dated April 16, 1865, 1 pg. Reads in part: "I presume you have heard of the Murder of President Lincoln. I guess the that shot him will stretch hemp if he ever did. The time is coming when the copper heads will have to crawl into their holes and keep still". A fine Lincoln mourning letter. Couple of splits at folds, else fine.
