Whittington, all of which have been signed by their subjects, c. 1914-1934, includes: GINGER ROGERS (1911-1995) was an Academy Award-winning American film and stage actress, dancer and singer; VALAIDA SNOW (1904-1956) black American jazz musician and entertainer; WARNER BAXTER (1889-1951) was an American Academy Award-winning actor who is best known for his role as The Cisco Kid in In Old Arizona; GEORGE HENRY ELLIOTT (1882-1962) The Chocolate Colored Coon; NOAH BEERY (1882-1946) was an American actor; LESLIE HENSON (1891-1957) was an English comedian, actor, film producer, theatre producer and director; JACK HULBERT (1892-1978) British actor; BRANSBY WILLIAMS, Known as "The Hamlet of the Halls"; PEGGY WOOD (1892-1978) was an Academy Award nominated American actress of stage, film and television; MADGE ELLIOTT (1896-1955) Ballerina and musical comedy actress; ISOBEL ELSOM (1893-1981) was an English screen, stage, and television actress; CARL BRISSON (1893-1958) was a Danish film actor. He appeared in 12 silent films between 1918 and 1935, including two films directed by Alfred Hitchcock; HERBERT MARSHALL (1890-1966) was a popular English cinema and theatre actor; Sir MALCOLM CAMPBELL (1885-1948) was an English racing motorist and motoring journalist; ELISSA LANDI (1904-1948) was an Italian born actress who was popular in Hollywood films of the 1920s and 1930s; BESSIE LOVE (1898-1986) was an American motion picture actress who achieved fame largely in the silent films and early talkie era; W.H. BERRY (1870-1951) was a star of the musical theatre stage in the early 1920s who's career lead him into film and recording; BILLIE DOVE (1903-1997) was an American actress; and one signed by the mother of JEAN HARLOW (1911-1937) was an American film actress and sex symbol of the 1930s, in behalf of her daughter.. Some are mounted, all are in fine condition and very presentable.
