Mid 19th century ship's box, 17-3/4" wide x 9" deep x 7-1/4" high, with period red and black paint and stenciled initials "L.S.W." purportedly used by Lewis W. Wiggins who served as signal quartermaster on the CSS Savannah, between 1864-65. Purchased from a Savannah estate. Fine.
