Oil on canvas, mounted on board, attributed to Arthur F. Hughes (1856-1914, British), depicting St. Marks Square in Venice, Unsigned but with old paper label on reverse " A.F. Hughes." Set in a period reeded and painted gesso over wood frame.
Artwork: 7" high, 10" wide.
Frame: 10" high, 13" wide.
Condition: When black lit minor areas on upper left margin fluoresce. Minor earmark damage to all Four (4) corners of board. Minor scratches w/some paint loss on building at upper right. Frame numerous areas of losses to gesso, particularly inside corners.
