Bronze sculpture/fountain with verdigris and brown patina, "Play Days" of a young girl or water nymph dipping her toe into water with Four (4) frogs sitting around the base perimeter by Harriet Whitney Frishmuth. Functions as either a sculpture or fountain. Inscribed "Harriet W. Frishmuth 1925" and stamped "Gorham Co. Founders QFED." Dimensions: 22.5" h, 6 1/2" wide, 6" deep.
Condition: Very good.
Harriet Frishmuth (1880 - 1990, American), studied art in Paris, Berlin and Philadelphia; pupil of Rodin, Injalbert, Borgulum; member of the National Sculptors Society and National Academy of Women Painters and Sculptors.
